Mindset Reset
A speculative design to strip our consumerism addiction.
This frivolous project is to critique how people worships materialistic lifestyle, as well as making reckless purchases without critically questioning the need for it.
The process for this project was researching our consumerism culture and the downside it has on our planet and people. The architectural frame was built from leftover foam boards and plywood in UCSD's Envision Lab. To construct the interior atmosphere, I soldered LED lights and speakers, as well as finding discarded material junk.

...Seriously Unserious.
What if there was a machine that could strip your shoppingg addictions? What if there is a way for you to reset your mindset?
As a surreal artist and a maker, I came up with an art piece that borrows elements from exposure therapy. My idea of using red lights was inspired by Endre Mester’s red light therapy. In my world, red light doesn't only rejuvenates your skin, it rejuvenates your mind.
